We thought instead of the rental company raking us over the coals for the window, we'd get it fixed ourselves. The glass shop is in a little town called North Pole, a few miles from Fairbanks. EVERYTHING there has a Christmas theme, and if you're not careful, you may lose your lunch over it, but we went around while waiting on the car. This giant Santa apparently needs to be protected with barbed wire.

The gift shop of all things Christmas.

Back in Fairbanks, and back to "normal".

Panorama of landing from the Pump House restaurant - Rich LOVES to be photographed!.

Photograph of a postcard of a painting - got that? Titled "Wildlife Refuge", by Sandy Jamieson, hanging in the Senator Saloon at the Pump House. I like the beaver with the martini, the cigarette, and the handbag. Also the snowshoe hare with the shotglass.

These are at Creamer's Field migratory waterfoul refuge in Fairbanks. The first day we went there, my camera battery died.
